The first ever convention held by UK Top Tattoo Artists (also known as UKTTA) was a spectacular showcase of tattooing, and we were on-hand over the weekend to film it all!

The 2023 UKTTA convention saw over 300 hand-selected tattooists from around the UK create incredible artwork at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, including many of our award-winning sponsored artists.

We’re pleased - and thoroughly unsurprised - that several of our sponsored artists walked away with a prize! Anthony Lennox was awarded ‘UKTTA Artist of the Year’, and we couldn’t be more proud. Rich Harris, who has been on an award-winning streak this year, managed to get ‘Best Avant Garde’ as well as 2nd place for ‘Best Large Colour’ and ‘Best Healed Work’.

Aberdeen-based Yarson won ‘Best Large Black & Grey’ for an epic Lord of the Rings leg sleeve, while Peter Murray secured 3rd place in ‘Best Japanese’, and Volkan Demirci got 3rd place in both the ‘Best Healed Work’ and ‘Best Large Colour’ categories for two sleeve pieces done on the same customer.

‘Best Collaboration’ went to a huge geometric back piece made by sponsored artist Bintt and Heart For Art Tattoo artist Tomm Birch, and we can’t forget Mac Simms from Rebel With A Cause who secured 3rd place in ‘Best Avant Garde’.
